Who we are

Created in 1948, the World Conservation Union, known as IUCN, is a partnership of States, Government Agencies and NGOs, representing the world’s largest conservation organization. Since 1998 IUCN in South Africa (IUCN-SA) has been driving conservation discourse and providing strategic direction for social development through the sustainable use of natural resources.
